Privacy Policy — The Fitness Garage

The Fitness Garage, LLC ("TFG", "we") operates The Fitness Garage app (the "App"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

• Account & profile: name, email, phone, age, sex, height, weight, fitness goals.
• Health & fitness data: workouts, steps, sleep, weight log, body measurements, and progress photos. With your permission, we read certain data from Apple HealthKit (e.g., steps, sleep). HealthKit data is used only to provide app features and is not used for advertising or sold.
• Nutrition data: food logs, saved recipes, nutrition goals.
• TITAN AI assistant: the text and voice messages you send, and the photos you submit (food, menus, and progress photos), are processed by AI to provide coaching, food recognition, and insights. Wake‑word detection runs on‑device. See Section 11 for the AI providers involved and how your data is handled.
• Usage & device data: app interactions, device model, OS version, and a push notification token.
• Payment data: subscriptions are processed by Apple (In‑App Purchase) and coaching by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; payment processors handle card data.

2. How we use it

To provide and personalize the App (coaching, nutrition, training plans, progress insights), process subscriptions and coaching, send notifications you enable, provide support, maintain security, and comply with law.

3. HealthKit (Apple)

We access HealthKit data only with your explicit permission, use it solely to power in‑app features (e.g., activity, sleep, calories), and never use it for advertising or disclose it to third parties for marketing. You can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy → Health.

4. How we share data

We share data only with service providers that help us run the App, under contract, including: Apple (purchases, HealthKit, notifications), Stripe (coaching payments), Amazon Web Services (secure storage/hosting), Firebase/Google (push notifications), and AI providers — OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google — which process your inputs solely to deliver TITAN's features. These AI providers act as our processors under contract, do not use your data to train their models, and do not receive it for their own purposes. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed for legal/operational purposes. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls). No method is 100% secure.

6. Your rights & choices

• Delete your account & data: in‑app (Settings → Delete Account), which removes your account and associated data (subject to legal retention).
• Access/correct your information in your profile.
• Permissions: manage Health, notifications, microphone, camera, and photos in iOS Settings.
• Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR/CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise them.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. International transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate, with appropriate safeguards.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be notified in‑app or by email.

11. AI features (TITAN)

TITAN is an AI assistant. To provide coaching, food and menu recognition, and personalized insights, the information you give TITAN — the messages you type or speak, the food and menu photos you take, your progress photos, and relevant profile/training context — is processed by third‑party AI providers, currently OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. These providers act as our service providers under contract: they process your data only to deliver these features, do not use it to train their models, and we do not sell it. AI‑generated coaching, nutrition, and training suggestions are informational only, may be inaccurate, and are not medical, dietary, or professional advice — always use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional before acting (see our Terms of Use). When you create your account you accept this processing, as described here and in our Terms.
